CAREER OPPORTUNITIES


TPD Architecture, PLLC (TPDA) is looking to grow our team with someone who is a creative problem solver and eager to take on more responsibility. They must be detail-oriented and interested in all aspects of the firm’s responsibilities - developing projects from inception through construction, meeting with clients, construction management as well as continuing their own professional development through licensure and/or continuing education. And as an integral part of our team, they also will have the opportunity to develop and manage project budgets, oversee schedules, write proposals, and contribute to office-wide best practice standards.

 

Senior Architect


Responsibilities include:  

  • Ability to successfully work on a team to carry out design vision and execution of all design plans, elevations, and details on small and large projects.

  • Production of architectural drawings in all phases of design (schematic design through construction documents).

  • Quality control reviews / redlining of all project documents throughout project process; with strong ability for detailing. MEP and Structural Systems review, Code compliance and technical information coordination.

  • Project construction administration, including job site visits.

  • Presentations to clients.

  • Assist Firm Leadership with creating presentations for design competitions, marketing materials, requests for proposals and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum B.S in Architecture and/or Master of Architecture degree with 8-10 years relevant US experience.  Registered Architect or active pursuit of Registration, LEED AP / ID+C / BD+C a plus. 

  • Proven experience in taking multiple projects through all project phases: proposal, programming, design, drawing development and construction

  • Possess good organization and communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills, with an interest in managing and mentoring junior / intermediate team members.

  • Excellent design, drawing and technical skills with a strong understanding of construction and building systems (structural, MEP, lighting, etc.).

  • Project experience in New York City with strong knowledge of applicable building codes.  Experience in NYC DOB filing procedures and experience with expeditors a plus.

  • Experience in health care, historic restoration, commercial interiors, retail and/or restaurants / hospitality a plus.

  • Software Skills must include REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe CS,, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.  Rendering Software a plus but not required (3D Studio Max, Rhino, and/or SketchUp).

  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the US and fluent in verbal and written English.

Salary / Benefits Offering:

  • Salary / Benefits are based on experience - $75K – $110K

Junior Architect

Responsibilities include:

  • Presentation materials and renderings.

  • Assist Firm Leadership with creating presentations for design competitions, marketing materials, requests for proposals and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Architecture degree.

  • At least (2) years of professional experience in a U.S. architecture firm.

  • Strong graphic, 3d modeling and rendering skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills.

  • Interest and enthusiasm in resolving both technical and design related issues.

  • General understanding and interest of building codes and standards, how buildings are constructed and ability to create succinct and thorough technical documents.

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD for Architecture, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proficient in Rhino, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp and/or similar rendering software
